Question on Remington Knives?

Post by DMLEATH »

I bought this on an auction and I was hoping someone could help me with a date or what style this one is. I did research the Remington tang stamps a bit and think it could be the 1933-1935 but are there newer knives that have a mark similar? There was another Remington knife and it had a number on the other side of the blade but I don’t find it on this one.

This is not an old original Remington.
Probably made by Camillus.
I'm not sure of the age, maybe 70s-80s.
Someone here can tell you a more accurate date.

The Delrin material the handles are made of didn't come into use until 1960 or there about.

Ok that makes sense. I had the feeling it was not an old knife but it is in very good condition

The Remingtons made by Camillus are good solid knives

It’s a nice knife. Its not as old as you thought but it’s still pretty old.
