CASE Combat Knife?

Post by Redchord520 »

Hey Fine Folks,

So this Case stamp kind of looks like the 1920-1940 era stamp but the C doesn't carry over the A like other examples I've seen. Is it a different stamp for fixed blades of that era? Also is this a combat knife with it's double curved guard? Thanks for the help!

I believe this is a WWII era knife that was made for combat use but not an official Military issue knife. The sheath looks newer than the knife.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Knife is a PX knife, one that was sold to armed forces men but not an issued knife. Wayne is also correct that the sheath is newer than the knife.
