Another Wards Knife Question?

I have another Wards knife and I looked through my book on Winchester and didn’t find one that looks real close. I may not have a complete set. Would this one look like another maker? Thanks for any input! The knife is 3 5/8” long closed

Whenever I look at a Winchester (Walden) made knife, I always look at the shield first. Frequently Winchester (when I say Winchester that includes many Keen Kutters, Wards, and, of course, Walden made knives) the shield is quite distinctive. In this case, obviously, there is no shield, and so, there is no help there. The second thing I look at is the spey blade, if there is one. In this case there is a spey, but it is so worn it's a little difficult to tell, however, it does look like a Walden style spey, what's left of it. Another thing I look at is the punch. In this case the punch is diagnostic for me , the punch on this knife is the Utica style punch. For that reason I would attribute this knife to Utica. JMO

P.S. For me, it is often impossible to tell a Camillus from a Utica (Kutmaster) I have even seen Camillus knives with the Utica style punch, it almost seems that they were copying each other. However, most Camillus cattle knives of this era had grooved bolsters and the normal Camillus punch. Of course there were exceptions.

Agree on the Utica origin. Just looks like many of the Utica knives I own. JMO.
