Remington Bullet 253 age
My grandfather was an avid knife collector and I remember back in the 80's when he bought this knife. His collection was given to my father, now I have it. I'm trying to determine the age of this bullet knife. From the stamp it looks like 1924-1933 but the UMC may be worn off. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd say it's 1933-1940
Looks like a nice used R1253

Nice single blade lockback Bullet. I believe I noticed some nice etch still very visible. John

Thanks for your input. I was looking at the Remington stamps guide and it doesn't match any year range unless the UMC has worn off. The 1935-40 stamp uses block letters but no "made in USA". This is all new to me, what condition would you consider the knife to be in?

Grading knives is very subjective but if the handles have no chracks or chips and the knife has no function issues I would grade it on the low side of excellent. Nice knife!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
