Picked up this one today even though the back spring was broken and I have no hope of ever fixing it.Thought you might like to see it and maybe give me some info if you have it.
Two blade gent's folder(master blade and scissors)with engine turned handles marked "Robeson Stainless" on the mark side and "4525 Germany" on the pile side.
Don't think it has anything to do with Robeson USA but wondering if you have ever seen the mark before. I know some really early Robesons were made in Germany but this one looks like 1960's or so to me.

Robeson Cutlery Company imported several patterns of pocketknives from Germany in the mid-50’s early 60’s.

They all had four digit pattern numbers and that is apparently one of them, even though I have actually never seen that one before.

Too bad about the backspring.

I decided to take it apart to see if it could be repaired.The area where it broke is extremely narrow so I don't think even an experienced welder could put it back together again.I am tempted to try and make a back spring for it.The only hassle will be trying to put it back together again as the rivets holding it together are flush with the engine turned handles.Maybe a rainy day project(like I don't have enough of those already!).Happy New Year my friend.
