Kabar / Union swing guard

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Here’s my other purchase, it’s gorgeous. The shield side of the blade has the Union Cutlery stamp but the backside only has P A T. Enjoy and thanks for the comments on my blades.

That's the only pattern I have encountered with the triangle cut nail nick.

I have not seen that nail nick before.
That makes that knife even more beautiful.
