Would like some information about a knife I aquired.This knife is marked on the blade ULSTER KNIFE CO.The knife has a single blade about 41/4inches long,handle is about 51/2 inches long,about 93/4 overall lenght.the knife also has a swing guard and is a lockback with the release being in the center of the knife,the scales are of a dark wood with a nickle name plate in the center of one scale.both ends and the swing guard seem to be nickle.the inside of the knife is brass lined.about 1/8 of the point is missing,but no chips on the blade itself.The knife has not been cleaned as I was told to leave that up to the experts,the same goes for the missing point,an expert is needed to restore the point.See pic.

ulster knife co. stamp was used from 1876-1941. - goins
dwight devine took over the ellenville knife co. and renamed it ulster knife co. sold to the aers in 1941.

That is a really good looking knife. I would like to see it in a little better picture to see how short it would be if it was reshaped to get the point back on blade. Some may not want to reshape it, I would.
