Some pictures of the steps with two Jack O’Lanterns that Jazlin & Lorelai just made.

Latter on, some games and Junk Food in the kitchen.
No "Trick er Treating" allowed this year due to Covid.

Tom, you mentioned "covid restrictions", in a normal year would you say Halloween tradition/practice between U.S. and Deutschland is very similar?

I liked all your pictures, especially the jack o lanterns, but oh man would a piece of that Pumpkin pie taste great with my morning coffee right now!

Thank you, sir! If a Blue Moon on Halloween only comes around every 76 years, I figured I should get a couple of shots, 2096 is a long way off!

It's the exact same because they got it from the US. 50-years of American "boots on the ground" has left it's mark. Halloween, fast food, Coca Cola, stuff like that. But, it is celebrated on a much smaller scale than in the states. Some years I think the new "Tradition" is growing & other years it seems as if it's shrinking. Like this year.

I didn't know Pecan trees would grow that far north. I'd love to have one here! Wonder how much cold they can withstand? I'll have to do some research in this subject.

The Southern 1/3 of Illinois is the Northern edge of the Pecan range. Where I live in Illinois is further South than a large portion of Kentucky, Virginia, and probably all of W. Virginia. We have a number of plants/trees that are found in the South, but not found in Northern Illinois. I would think our weather would be pretty similar to where you live.......
Having said that, I should note that the Pecans here, do not have the size or taste of those further South.

We'uns don't do punki'n pie 'round har, but we do like rhubarb. Boss made it for the grandson he should be here shortly to get it.
