Question about Camillus knives

Hey Tom (Camco) or anyone else, I posted this in another forum where I should have posted it here. Would you happen to know the first year ever that the Yellow Jacket line came out by Camillus? Also did any of the yellow handled knives have carbon (1095, ect.) steel blades? Thanks for any info.

I posted a reply in the other forum, but will answer here also, in case someone else is interested.
The first use of the name was 9/27/89, though the first one I saw, was listed in 1990. The blades were 440 stainless back then, and remained so till the end, and also had NS bolsters.
The first ones of 1990, was the 710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715 and 716.
Interesting to note, is that the 716 was the only one etched with Yello-Jaket.

Maybe I am not understanding your statement correctly that only the 716 had the blade etch. I have a 710 with it.

Sorry, I guess I muddied the water a bit. When they first were listed in 1990, the catalog only showed the 716 as etched. The others were not etched. I have a early 709 that is not etched, but I am not sure when the 709 came out.
