GEC 33 trade Northfield for Tidioute?

Post by Iowaboy »

I received my GEC 33 Northfield yesterday from knivesshipfee.com. Very pretty nice, but I prefer to collect the Tidioute versions of GEC, but just could not get one fast enough.

If anyone with a Tidouute 33, or an extra Tidioute 33, wants to trade straight up for my Northfield 33, I would be pleased to do so!

If I have to keep it, I can certainly live with that. It's a fine looking Great Eastern Cutlery folder!

Is that stag and you're looking to trade for the jigged bone?

Yes, I have the Northfield UN-X-LD 33 conductor with Sambar stag handles, and would like to trade for the Tidioute 33 conductor with antique autumn jigged bone. I think those are the only two options for the 33 on this run. I collect Tidioute GECs typically, though I do have a few Northfield models.

The Northfield has threaded bolsters and polished blades which is typical, and is very pretty.

I can send pictures of this specific knife if anyone is serious about a trade, so they can see the actual stag handles.

For those who are wondering, or viewing, Doc B and I exchanged our GEC 33s, now I have the Tidioute trim 33 Conductor and he has the Northfield. And both of us are happy! A nice feature of the AAPK forum communications.

Here is the Tidioute 33 I have now, very pleased to get it! I had a Tidioute "in" my cart at C. Risner but before I got through Paypal it went bye-bye. Was sitting by my phone when email for the Northfield came and got that just in time. The Northfield was a beauty too, but I wanted the Tidioute. It's a very sharp little folder. Doc B was nice enough to switch.

Not the best photo, I never get the lighting right but in person it is awesome!

I'm down at the ranch, right now. Dove season starts Monday. It will be Tues before I get back home. I'm happy with my stag! I'm unhappy right now...cause I stuck the tractor in mud :( .
