Yeah, Bill (Bad Billy El Lobo

) recomended a Spyderco Native when I was looking for an inexpensive knife using Crucible's CPM S30V steel. I bought one for my son and one for me, it's his favorite EDC and one of mine as well. $34.95 at Walmart each - Hard to beat that price for a high grade stainless steel.

In order of picture blade material is ATS34, 440C, and SS. I'm a big ATS34 fan I have alot of Japanese knives all of which are ATS34. I also picked up 2 CASE T Bose's for this very reason. ATS34 is in my opinion is not an every day knife material but a camping, hunting and survival tool it can really tackle those hard jobs without the need to re sharpen. Fit and finish seems to be better on ATS34 made knives also, then again they tend to be your high end knives anyway.

Chris,

It is a fairly smooth, tight-grained black wood. Ebony maybe? Or quite possibly an Ebonized wood of some type.

It is a fairly small lockback...coming in at about 3 5/8"...and maybe a Welterweight.
