Unusual Schlieper Knife

This knife is 6 1/2" long, handle is 2 3/4" and blade is 3 3/4". The blade is thin somewhat similar to the 2 small knives that often come with a Kukri.
Blade flat has the Eye Brand logo and "Carl Schlieper/Solingen-Germany". There are letters (words ?) stamped into end of wood handle but i cannot make out what they are.
The sheath somewhat resembles those found with Finnish puukkos.
Any idea as to what this knife is ?
Have you seen one before ?

Boy, KJ, beats me. Looks kinda like one of those patch knives but I'm not a bit sure about that.
Is there anything stamped on the sheath?

I found the knife in some of the old Schlieper catalogs. It is listed as a “Boscher” Knife. It was listed with polished brown or black wood handles. Unusual one for sure. Can’t find anything on the stamping in the end of the handle.

Wow ! Joe, thank you for ID'ing this knife. So it's a "Boscher" knife. I have googled this word and found it to be: a Family name, a place in Germany, and a company that makes engine oil products. I find nothing that could be connected to using a knife.
Ray, no markings on sheath. It is a good fit so likely original, i.e. knife was to be carried on your belt. Makes me think of it being used to dig/cut mushrooms out of the ground, or some such 'scavenging' activity in which your palm would be over the butt of the short handle as you held it.
I have had this knife for many years. Now i know it is a real Carl Schlieper knife.

One of my daughters lives in Northern Italy, close to Austrian border. It is ethnically German. Everyone there speaks German, not Italian. So i asked her about the word "Boscher". Here is her reply:
"Boscher is originally dutch and means 'coming out of the bush'... like how to use a machete. It's the traditional knife for cutting root veggies and cabbage. North German tradition."
