Camillus Rimfire Collection.
Can someone please enlighten me on the correct number of knives in this series? Was an 8th knife made, or was it like the CCC series, discussed, but not produced. Would appreciate your help. Thanks

No expert but I believe only 7 were produced. What was the 8th one suppose to be?

Re: Camillus Rimfire Collection.
I know of only 7 in the .22 Long Rifle series. Those have brass bolsters and Delrin sides that look a little like stag but are a different pattern and color than Camillus' standard Indian Stag Delrin. However, there were others made for the larger rimfire cartridges. Are you confusing one of them for an 8th .22 LR knife?

www.camillusknives.ru If you go to this site you will find a list and information on these knives. Click on Camillus and then on Cartridge Series and you will find the .22 series there. Hope this is helpful. Good luck some are a little hard to find.

Re: Camillus Rimfire Collection.
There are pictures of 6 of the 7 .22 LR knives on pages 3 and 4 in this AAPK thread viewtopic.php?f=63&t=20130 The missing picture is #6, the stockman that Camillus mis-named a Whittler. It is a popular pattern. There is a thread devoted to them so there must be a picture of a #6 around here somewhere. Looking at them again I see that the some what stag like textured Delrin is only on the larger ones. I only have my favorite .22 LR knife, the largest one, #7, the 4 1/4" Stockman. Its Delrin is what I remembered.

Re: Camillus Rimfire Collection.
Camillus originally named the 72, "Carpenter's and Whittler's". At some time between '65 and '73 they dropped the "Carpenter's" and it became just plain "Whittler's". Much has been made on this forum about the validity of the name.

Nice collection of .22 LR knives Vit_213!
Jerry also has more than a dozen Mini-Trappers. Does he also have the .22 LR series Mini-T?

Re: Camillus Rimfire Collection.
Nope. The LR-2 isn't a Mini-Trapper. It's 3-7/8" closed.

I HAD a 22LR5 but I gave it to Floyd (doglegg)
I HAD a 22LR-3 Congress but it got GONE & I don't remember the circumstances. It's one of my regret knives and the reason I don't sell or trade knives.

I've got some of these squirreled away in a box, the full sized versions, but I'm missing the .45 I think. Might have to dig them out . . .
