While going through the long task of re-cataloging knives,I came across this one and figured I'd post it up and see if anyone knew what it is used for.
The knife is a Klein 3 blade electrician's knife. The spear and screwdriver blade are standard but the third blade is a mystery.BTW there are two liner locks on this knife. The blade is sharpened not only on the bottom but on the angled edge just under the projection. It obviously(?)has something to do with electrics but I can't imagine what.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I also have a bunch of pictures of electrician's knives;some of which are a bit odd.I will try and post some in the General Discussion.
What is this blade for?

It's a slitting blade, works somewhat like a gut hook in a hunting knife but pushing instead of pulling, you stick it in something and push to cut the external cover without damaging the inside, useful to take off the jacket from multi strand wire.
Here's a new one: KLEIN TOOLS 1550-9 Spearpoint-Slitting-Driver Knife.
