US M-4 Bayonet

Post by TomcatPC »

This is my Uncle's M-4 Bayonet for the M-1 Carbine, along with one of his insignias. He Served with the 11th Air Force, USAAF in the Aleutions during the War. He gave me the bayonet a couple of years before I went into the Service in 1989. This bayonet is made by Camillus, along with the usual M8A1 Scabbard (B.M. Co.). He always missed Alaska, talked about returning quite a bit. Ironicaly, following my time in the Service I ended up moving to Homer, Alaska for a few years, his duffle bag and 11th Air Force insignia made it back, before being put away in safe storage.

Hi Mark;
Great example of the M-4.
Should you want more info, Camco (Tom Williams) shows up from time to time and I am sure with sufficient photos and such he could give you all the info you want. He was for many many years the Historian for Camillus before they shut down. You can find a PM or Email for him in knife lore.
