Cumberland Knife Works?

Post by TM »

Anybody have any experience ordering from these guys? I ordered 2 knives online last weekend. I got the package yesterday and only one knife was in the box and no reciept ::shrug::

I emailed last night - no response yet. Tried calling this morning - no answer.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I'm starting to wonder.....

I hope you get everything straight TM. Please let me know how it comes out because, I was looking at ordering a knife or 2 from Cumberland Knife Works after the holiday season. Thanks, Duffy.

Bill is a super good guy. No worries, just give him time to respond.

Bill is a super guy and always tries to make sure knife collectors are satisfied. He's real busy, but every now and then, I call up and he or his wife have some time to shoot the breeze. ::tu:: ::tu:: Just keep calling, I sometimes have trouble reaching them, they're just busy with many other things than knives. Sometimes we can talk for an hour, others he is just on the run. ::tu:: ::tu::

Bill Horn is top drawer my friend, he could be out of town or at a show. I have purchased many a knife from Bill and will personally vouch for his character. He's the best. ::tu::

TM,
I've bought a pile of knives from Bill, never had a problem. Perhaps he was out of stock on the missing knife? He'll get back to you, I wouldn't worry about it ::tu::

Thanks for your replies. The comments make me feel a little better. :|

I shop a lot online and have never actually recieved a package with contents missing and no reciept. My first thought was that maybe the knives were shipped seperately but that doesn't make any sense.

I'll let you know how it turns out and make sure to post picks when I get both of them.

They are a folding hunter and jack - Queen jigged black cherry. Thought I'd give that line a try. I'm very pleased with the hunter. These knives seem to be getting harder to find. I saw some on a site the other day and now they're gone! Figures..... seems like when I start getting intrested in something it always becomes difficult to acquire

Queen discontinued (early 2007) all of the knives in jigged black cherry, smooth black cherry, and forest edge delrin. Since dealers cannot get any more from Queen they will become scarce.

Terry,

You should have gotten an eMail stating the "sold out" situation on the Jigged Black Cherry and a refund for that one knife. Queen dropped that line and we have very little remaining in JBC and Cocobolo on hand.

Hello All - I did get the email - it ended up in my bulk folder and I didn't see it until this morning.

Sad to hear that the serpentine jack was out of stock. I am pleased with the hunter - thanks Bill :)

I look forward to doing more business with Cumberland Knife in the near future ::tu::
