Tool Kit Knives

Haven't seen anything on the forum pertaining to these so I figured to start a thread about them.Have been collecting these whenever I come across an unusual or different one.Some of the ones shown have their original cases although they are not in the best of shape.The leather seems to deteriorate pretty rapidly.

The quality ones seem to be the German manufactured ones(Bonsa,Salm,etc.)although I don't have a Napanoch or Nagle Re-Blade to compare them.The most prevalent ones are made by Imperial,Richards,and several Japanese firms.A lot of the German ones seem to lack a manufacturer's(or distributor's)name;instead displaying the D.R.G.M.(German patent)logo.

I have also included a couple of pictures of unusual multi-blades as I consider these to be a form of tool kit. Hope you enjoy them.

First is a D.R.G.M. marked tool kit of a better quality than most.This style allows the blades to be inserted parallel to the handle or at 90 degrees for greater leverage.

Next is a rather unique one made by Imperial.As you can see the knife is only 2" long and the case has a key chain attached.Not very practical but unique.The smallest one I have seen.

The next two are slightly bigger but not particularly of quality manufacture.Still smaller than the average size.

Next is a Daniel Peres kit that includes two types of pliers.The knife was missing from the kit when I got it and the one pictured was found years later and actually fit the tools perfectly.The case is rotted badly.

Next is another unmarked German kit that came with extra tools.Not sure if they were originally supplied with the kit.

Next is a Bonsa kit that has two handles that came as original equipment.Case is badly deteriorated.

Lastly is a tool kit by Salm.Another well made German kit.

The last two pictures are kits by Utica.One has the standard spear blade and the other has a sheepfoot blade.

Next round will be plier knives.

Some tool knives:

First is kind of a comical piece I bought years ago. A,"Monkey" wrench in the true sense of the word.The scales are engraved to show the profile of a monkey with the jaws being the mouth.It might work;I've never really tried it.

Next is an Oscar Barnett Tool Co. plier/knife;probably one of the oldest types of this tool.Tools include a master blade,punch,wire cutter/pliers/hoof pick(?),and screwdriver built into the center liner.

The next examples of plier/knife tools are mostly of French origin.One has a broken screwdriver or can opener blade atop which appears to be a wire gauge.Some have a square cross section awl while another has an auger.

I have some modern examples as well but didn't think those needed to be posted.
