can you help me identify this knife?

i got this new knife, its pretty old, i actually sort of inherited it. I think it might be a Ka-bar but i cant tell.

I think it is a KA-BAR but I can't find a reference for it in any of my books upstairs.May have to delve into my library tomorrow.I have seen a couple of those on e-Bay before(got outbid on them too).Looks like the marlin spike is missing from the sheath.
Case had a similar model(147)except the cutting edge was curved instead of straight as on this one.

I have always found marlin spikes and rope knives to be fascinating. I did a bit of small boat sailing on the Great Lakes. I've been saving this link for the longest time. I think it illustrates the knife in question.
