Hello how is everyone. Iam new to this forum and new to knife collecting. The question I have is this I just got a bulldog doctors knife for christmas on the paper work it said that it was one of 29 proto types made. Dose anybody if that means they only made 29 kives or dose it mean they made 29 deffrent types of prototypes And if they only 29 prototypes are they all doctors knives.

Welcome to the forums! That's a good question. With the way it's worded, it makes it a little confusing to me. It has been my experience that most of the time it means that it is 1 of 29 like knives. If it says 1 of 29 prototypes, I guess it could mean the 29 knives could be different...???
In short.... I don't know. I probably could have saved your time by saying that in the first place eh?

Hi There, Welcome madfordoctorsknives....I'm no expert but I'll say that it meansthat your knife is one of THAT particular prototype.
