Mora blades

The mailman brought me four Mora made laminated knife blades yesterday. I ordered they from Blue Ridge Knives. On the blade is stamped "Frosts Mora, Made in Sweden, Laminated Steel".

Supposedly, the center core is a RC of 60-62 and the two outer layers are somewhere around a RC of 56. This is the first blades I've order from them. If sharpness is any indication, they certainly pass the test. Absolutely the sharpest blades I've ever received....from the hand guard end to the very last 1/32" of the tip will shave the hair off the back of my hand.

The blades are just slightly over 1/8" thick and you can see a faint lamination line that indicates the inner core is slightly less than 1/16" thick. Nice straight taper grind slightly less than 3/8".

Just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with Mora blades....especially these from Frost. I know Frost is usually associated with less than quality goods....so I guess I'll have to work one of these up and put it through the ringer. Any suggestions as to how to prove or disprove their "worth" as far as knife blades go? Cardboard seems to be one of the hardest things on a knife....so....maybe I'll use that as a test medium, eh?

frosts mora of sweden is not the same as frost cutlery.

I don't own one (yet) dewman, but from everything I've heard Moras may be the best "bang for the buck" knife out there.

Many of the "outdoorsy" types are crazy about them!
