My one and only

In 1939 Joseph Gerber (advertising agency owner) had custom knife maker David Murphy make 24 sets of carving knife for some of his select customers. Catalog retailer Abercrombie & Fitch saw them and was so impressed with the quality of the knives they wanted to sell them. Thus was born Gerber Legendary Blades.

This is my only Gerber, gifted to me over 40 years ago my my wife’s aunt. I know nothing else about it.

That's a nice Gerber, Ken.
Usually you see that style with only one blade.
Here you have an extra blade that you can scrape your battery posts with. ::woot::

I'm hoping Dale will see this. I think he knows quite a bit about older Gerber's. Nice knife by the way. ::tu::

Thanks for looking. Joe, if I carried it that would surely happen sooner or later - I have way too many different vehicles having batteries! ::facepalm::

That good Sir, is a Gerber PK I "Skookum." Made circa 1975.

Here's an ad for it:

Great knives. Kind of like a stainless version of the Sportsman series. Sized between the Sportsman I and the Sportsman II, but with a 2nd blade.
