Re: The Kind of Men Who Carry Pocket Knives
Thank you for the link! It brought back fond memories from my childhood, and the "real" men who I looked up to and tried to learn from.

Re: The Kind of Men Who Carry Pocket Knives
Nice read Thanks
Re: The Kind of Men Who Carry Pocket Knives
Reminds me of my Dad and how I grew up, the way he raised me and the example he, and the other men of that rural area, lived and worked. He (and they) were men who " stood on their hind legs". I think that's why I have such a facination with traditional pocket knives. For me they represent more than merely carbon steel blades, nickel and brass, bone, wood or other material for handles. They represent my Dad and the ethic of men like himself that we seem to be losing (if not already lost).

Good read! Thanks, OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Need ya over on the Daily Trivia. I'm the only one doing it these days and I'm still slow and easy to beat. It gets kind of lonesome but at least I always win.

I am trying to figure out my password! And it's an old email tied to my trivia account, so I may have to try and create a new one.jerryd6818 wrote:Need ya over on the Daily Trivia. I don't do Mondays and Thursdays. I don't know squat about movies and who was in them/who married who/etc or performing groups and what they did/etc.
