Buck 301 three blade stag folder DATE??

Just a quick question on how to date a Buck knife.

I see this knife on ebay . . . it's a Buck 301 and it's got the little sideways tent after the 301. The seller says manufacture date is 1987.

I have one of these but it has a tent that's NOT sideways (mine has the pointy side up otherwise the stamp is identical). Does this help date these? Any help appreciated.

That is 1986. Pointing to the right is 87, up is 88, and down is 89.
