Santa was extra good to me

Post by Colonel26 »

Better than I deserve. I got a total of 4 knives, a knife storage box, and a DMT 8E diamond bench stone. I can tell you with my hand to Jesus, that I haven’t been this good. But I sure do have wonderful family and friends.

I hope the pics come out in order, but here’s the list.

1) From and friend who is more like family than a lot of my family, this amazing Amber Bone CASE 6375. My favorite pattern, and my favorite of CASE’s new bone colors.

2) My awesome wife always gets me and the three boys identical knives for Christmas every year. This year it was a Solingen Boker folding hunter in smooth Appaloosa bone. I get no input, she finds them and picks them out. She’s pretty awesome. I got a little patina on it peeling potatoes for our niece on Christmas Day.

3) Daddy gave me, the boys, and my brother some old knives he’s accumulated lately. Mine is a Kutmaster, smooth bone, 4” punch blade stockman.

4) My oldest boy (13) gave me an Opinel #12 that I modded today, and used to hack through some briars in the back 40.

5) DMT 8E diamond bench stone from my wife.

6) Another one of these tackle boxes with the plastic trays that I store knives in from my wife and boys.

Did I mention that I am blessed?

You ain’t just whistling Dixie either. Both blood kin and those we’ve adopted along the way too.

Thanks woodwalker and Jack.

That's some haul! I'd say you've either been better than you're giving yourself credit for, or you've been really foolin' ole Santa! ::nod::

Ken, I think it’s safe to say I had the old elf fooled evidently.

I did forget another knife present though. This box of Victorinox replacement parts! This too from the Mrs.

Colonel, mega dittos for all the above approbation. That Boker is extra sweet. Congratulations on the haul and for having such a thoughtful family.
