Yard sale find Chicago cutlery folding 4 inch fillet knife
We have some kitchen knives made by Chicago cutlery. Or at least they have Chicago's name and made in USA on them and they are good stuff. I found a 4 in folding fillet knife traveler. Chicago cutlery lh4 made USA no sheath . It was cheap . The seller said he had bass pro sharpen ot several years ago and never used it and did have the sheath . I bought it . I have been looking online and I have found some information and seen a 6 inch no 4 in. Just wondering about it .

I think this was sold as a folding steak knife for when you eat out as opposed to a fillet knife, thus the "Traveler" name. However, I feel it would be a great companion to your primary hunting/fishing knife out in the field. Nice knife!
My folks have a set of Chicago Cutlery steak knives, but they get used for everything. Primarily because they're one of the few that can take an edge that they already had. Most were just bargain bin stuff that cannot take an edge. I've bought Nogents, Henckels, and Victorinox (as well as any other good kitchen cutlery) when I found it cheap.

Nice knife! I have one Chicago Cutlery knife, a Stockman, and it is very good quality. I have wondered who made Chicago Cutlery.

We have a few. Maybe since we got married. See used in thrift stores and estate sales. I may start watching for the vintage ones. I remember when Chicago cutlery had a well stocked store in the Chicago Water Tower Mall. around 1990.
