Kabar folding hunter

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Here is a Kabar coke bottle FH.
Anyone know the age of this one?
Appears to be delrin handles.

No model number under Kabar = pre-1966.

Delrin handles = 1961 or later.

If the handles are some other plastic than Delrin, e.g., celluloid, phenolic, etc, post 195x (whenever KABAR became Kabar then 195x to 1960.

The year the stamp change was made eludes me right now and I'm not at home to look it up.

I have read 1951, but I can't verify that.

Checking my notes, according to the Kabar guru, gunsil, Kabar is post-1952, i.e., 1953 and onwards.

Nice knife, David.
