2 New Purchases

Post by BamaFatman »

Since moving to Tennessee I hadn't made any purchases until this week. Take a look and let me know what ya think.

The first one is a '20-'40 Case Farmers Knife.

The second one is a '40-'64 Case Stag Bulldog with no etch.

I don't know for sure if the Farmers knife is Green Bone or Rogers Bone. If anyone can tell, let me know. Hope ya like these.

SWEET!!

That farmers pattern is probably one of my favorite CASE knives. It is an 48 right? Clasp looks darn near mint in the photo's. Looks like TN agrees with you. I hope to move there my self someday. Are you in Eastern TN?

Great photo's too

Those are fantastic knives Fatman, I agree that by the looks of those knives you have improved your lot by moving to TN. My wife and I came back down through Maryville in August on the way back home to Florida and we really enjoyed the area and thought it would be nice to go back and investigate the area in the future. The folks we ran across while in Tennessee were some of the finest I have been around..

Bama - really like that case 48.

I spent one semester at Maryville College before transferring back north. I thought eastern Tennessee was one of the most beautiful places on earth. Sure wish I spent more time looking for knives back then ('68).
Looking for Winchester .270 Cartridge Series knives

Hey Bama,
It is good so see you back to posting again! ::tu::

I am not a Case collector, or even a fan of Case, but I’ll tell you what, that little 48 is sweet! ::drool:: ::drool:: I may gave to find me one.

Well I guess I'll have to turn on the force field around the area now, BamaFatMan has moved in my knife garden, he'll have all my field's picked clean before I can make my rounds. Looks like he's already stolen two nice one's. Welcome to the beautiful foothills of the Smoky Mountains Bama, maybe we can hook up and swap a few knife tale's

:P Thanks for all the kind replies. Yerout i'd really like to meet up with ya sometime and swap a few stories. I left the only 2 people I was able to sit and talk about knives with back in Alabama. s-k , i'm gonna stick with same fatman name , can take me out of Bama but can't take Bama out of me  I will have to agree with sunburst though, the people we've met since being here are of the finest kind, and you can't beat the view of the smoky mountains. ::tu::
