The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Information requested

Post by bbirder »

Good Morning Gentlemen,
I am a new member and I am requesting help from you. I have a knife that was given to me as a company award in 1989. I am trying to establish a value and some info on it. I am not a collector but this knife has never been carried or sharpened. It has remained in the case. I have searched the internet to no avail trying to get info on it. I thought I would turn to the experts. I am enclosing some pics for your viewing. I would greatly appreciate any thing you can give me such as how many produced, value etc. Thanks for your help.
I just noticed on a pic that the number 810 shows up on one end. Never noticed before. Maybe number in series made?

Similar Queen muskrat's have sold on ebay recently in the $50.00 range. The 810 is likely 018 and represents a serial number eighteen as the knives were probably numbered consecutively for the award receipients.

bbirder, ::welcome:: to AAPK!
That's a nice looking Queen Muskrat. The tang stamp fits the time you indicated. The "Q" with the fixed blade through it was apparently used from 1984 up until '90. It has the Hawbaker blade configuration.
I like it! ::tu::
