What does the PE stand for on the 1973 case 6374PE?

I got a case 1973 6347PE for christmas and was wandering what the PE stands for? Two of the blades are not sharpened and one says "for flesh only". I was wandering if I could get someone to help me out with this one as well as a value for it?

Hello nozzlehog,

Those letters would identify the blade configuration. Your knife should have a spey and pen blade.

Case identified the spey and pen blade as follows...
SP = Spey blade
PEN = Pen blade

Since "SP PEN" did not usually fit well on the tang, Case often shortened the code. In this case (if i'm not mistaken), SP was shortened to P and PEN was shortened to E. Thus you get PE.
