Case Limited Edition XIV?
Hello all. I have been visiting AAPK forums for some time now and I thought I might as well go ahead and join. I have a Case Ocean Blue Limited Edition Saddlehorn 62110. The gentleman that I purchased it from stated that it is a "Series XIV." I don't really collect limited edition knives but I just had to have this one. I cannot find any information on the box, the papers, or the knife itself that indicates what series the knife is. I know from the tang stamp that the knife was produced in 2006. Can anyone tell me how to identify the series on this knife just by looking at the knife?

There's one easy way to tell if you have the original box. The catalog number for your knife is 19074, the 19 is the key. It means it came from limited edition number 19 or XIX. Case always numbers the limited edition knives by starting the catalog number with the actual series. Kinda unusual for any knife company to do something that makes sense.

Thanks, Knifekid for the info. I do have the original box and it states 19074 just like you said. I guess the seller was misinformed when he stated that it is a Series XIV (fourteen). What really had me curious was how could this be a Series XIV yet produced in 2006 when Case is currently producing Series XXI knives. But it all makes much more sense now. Thanks again.
