Swinden-style barlow mods

Post by glennbad »

I just finished up a 5-pack of swinden-style barlow mods. They all had the fake sawcut plastic covers. One I did in ebony, one in smooth white bone, one in dyed jigged bone, then one in gnarly stag, and the last in mammoth ivory.

If those were a poker hand, they'd be a royal flush! ::nod::

Looks like you maintained the Swinden pin, or did an excellent job of working around the bolster stamps.

As always, beautiful job! ::tu::

We have like taste 313 Mike. That ebony is my favorite and the jigged bone. Glenn you do such fabulous work. But then that mammoth looks great too.

Beautiful work! ::tu:: ::tu::
Without the Swindon system it would be nearly impossible to repin a Schrade Barlow with their fancy bolsters.

Agreed! The downside to the Swinden system is when the blades get play, there is not a lot that can be done to fix it without major rework.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
