Smooth wood folding hunter

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Smooth wood folding hunter

Post by just bob »

Is the Case folding hunter knife with smooth wood handles a one year production or were smooth wood handles available on the knife for several years? I feel sure I have seen this before and think it was from the 1970's. I think this auction knife is too?

No, Case never made those in smooth wood. It has been rehandled.
