Single blade Buck 303?
Is there such a thing as a single blade Buck 303? Saw this a while back and was wondering if it was production or a custom job?

Hmm - I've never heard of that. Single blade should be the 302 Solitaire or 379 Solo.

Never seen a factory or build-out (Buck made limited run) in a single blade 303. There are folks who do conversions (our own JerryD had a Buck two blade jack made from a 303). There are some 302 Solitaires floating around -built on the 301 frame - but they are discontinued and disappearing. OH

I am certain Buck never made a single blade 303. Some were modified after production, and 300Bucks can shed a little light on this.

Bert, now that you mention it I seem to recall 300Bucks had a few made and sent to Buck Knife in order to convince them to build some. Hopefully he will see this and post pictures of his custom built 303. OH

interesting
how long ago was that? maybe some alternatives to the 303 could be born out of them dropping some of their range
I'd love to see a single blade Cadet or one with a caplifter

Single blade factory made will be a store special or lunch box or maybe a 'Missionary" knife with no notch ground in the bolster. I got Leroy Remer to make a couple of stockmen with just clip and sheepsfoot blades. Tips of sheepsfoot blades were rounded to try an simulate a warcliff blade. Seemed more folks wanted a sheepsfoot or warcliff blade in a two blade model than a pen blade. There was a limited special run of a single blade 303 in onyx and pearl. A fancy single 303, almost too pretty to put in a pocket to get scratched.
P.S. I never heard a word from Buck or even got my knives back.
