pocketknife info

Post by livind »

I have an Imperial stockman made in Prov. R.I. USA. It has a shield with DE and what appears to be an arrow. The blades look like the high carbon steel as on some of the Schrade OT's. Does anyone have an idea of the age of this knife or what the letters DE on the handle stand for?

i think imperial aquired the name d.e., diamond edge around 1960 from shapleigh hardware co., the original owner of the trademark.

By the way muscrat man, I really like the knives you rehandled in your gallery! Nice work!
