Three spring Whittler

Here is a three spring Whittler. There are no stamp marks on the tangs and no sign of a stamp. I'm certain there was no grinding.
Maybe a lunchbox knife before the tangs got stamped. I'm not familiar with stamping procedure.
Rather wide springs.Half stops on all blades. Love the blade selection. Ye-Haw! The punch is sharp so it will actually cut leather.
Not just an impressionistic blade.
I'm guessing this is Rogers bone. Can anyone identify it? How about that shield? That's got to be a YUGE ID give away. Brass liners.
This thing is only 3 1/4" closed. This one will get sharpened and packed. A great little knife.
Any ideas on the maker would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Blades are stamped early in the knife making process and before heat treating.

Got one that looks very similar in shape and shield although this one has a spear blade(I think;it's pretty well sharpened. Henry Sears 1865.EDIT: Here is a better shot of it.

TY sir. The handles are really unusual in that I think they may be clear horn.I've never seen bone that color and they definitely aren't synthetic.

EC Simmons made some 3 spring Keen Kutters in that pattern. But I don't think they used the shield that is on yours.

Nice looking knife Joe with lovely bone ... Not sure I would call it a whittler with a punch blade - maybe a stockman or small cattle knife of sorts .. the 3 springs are cool ... Funny the knife looks alot bigger than 3 1/4" probably based on 3 springs which makes it look hefty... sorry I have no guess on maker but Keith may be right that it is a Remington!!

Ray - Nice knife for sure and no doubt similar to Joe's but the handles on your knife are no doubt faux horn celluloid... I have a Winchester with the same exact handles (split spring whittler) and the faux horn celluloid is a "spitting" image ... (one of my few celluloid knives...)...

......I only have one 3 spring knife!!.............a camillus, 4 line stamped, ..... i have never seen another one like it!!............it's an equal end, 3 1/4"closed, rogers bone, bar shield. one punch blade,the other 2 appear to have been spear blades............ .......................

.........the argus has had it, along with me!!........if one of the kids ever stays long enough to do anything but eat, i'll try to get one of them to take some pictures withone of them "atomic cameras"!!!............... ..................

Well yes and no. The cutout is at an angle down to the brass liner.

Joe, I've looked in my books. Not vey much luck in proving it's a Remington. Here are the only two 3 spring knives I have.

The Remington shield is a tick different also. So I guess I'm of no help.
