Machinists Bench Block

Post by Ga Red »

I am planning on making a Bench block out of O1 steel 1/2 inch thick by 2 inches by 3 inches . How hard should I Temper the O1?. I want to try the Bench Block before I try a Cutlers Anvil .

I'd go somewhere in the high forties to fifty on the block. Good luck on the anvil! ::tu:: ::tu::
