Utica Sportsman

Post by ken98k »

So I got this junker "Utica Sportsman" off ebay 2 or three years ago. I only paid a couple dollars for it, as I recall, shipping was more than the knife. The handle was broken, cheap plastic and someone had attempted to clean it up with a grinder of some sort.
So when I rediscovered the knife yesterday, I decided it was time to do something with it.
A piece of elk antler and some brass pins that I turned down from and old faucet stem, plus a couple hours labor. It's probably still not worth the postage to mail it but, it's usable and sharp.

If you didn't say that it was a beater, I'd have thought it was a cool old knife.
Nice rescue! ::tu::
I love the faucet pin idea too. I'm the same way... Parts are parts.

Great job Ken. Can't wait to see it in action up there in the frozen north. :)
