These are probably my favourite Military folders, mainly due to their size! Jigged bone/antler(?) scales. The one with the clean blade has 'Joseph Allen and Sons, Sheffield' on the tang, with something above, ending in 'LL'?
The other knife is by 'J Clarke and Son, Sheffield'. They are 8" overall in length.
Early Royal Navy Jack Knives
Re: Early Royal Navy Jack Knives
If British military issue shouldn't they have the "broad arrow" mark??
Re: Early Royal Navy Jack Knives
As a rule, Army issue would be broad arrow marked, but not always so with Royal Navy and Royal Air Force gear.
Re: Early Royal Navy Jack Knives
These are nice Admiralty 301 pattern knives and date from around 1910, I have a few of these and more don't have the W/I\D of the army issue than do. These were not issued the the RAF as there was no RAF until after the first world war but the Army Air core may have had them as they were army.

Nice examples of the Royal Navy Admiralty pattern circa 1910 to 1930s. Royal Navy knives at this time did not have the broad arrow stamp.
