winchester with screw on handles?

winchester with screw on handles?
ive had some old miller bros. with brass screws holding on the handles. i have found a cocoa bolo winchester jumbo jack with brass screws holding on the handles! did winchester ever use brass screws instead of rivits? its on ebay #140151990515

I've also had a few Miller Bros that had screws in the handles. I've never saw a Winchester that had screws in the handles before, but the knife in question sure looks good. I've zoomed the pictures of the wood where it meets the bolsters and all looks good. A quick peek down inside the liners would probably give a good idea of whether it came from the factory like that.

I'm going to just add here, that I'm uncomfortable that the knife doesn't have a pin at the backspring. Haven't seen any full-sized Jacks like that. I'm wondering about a rehandle.

If the blades lock tight and don't wobble, the rehandler may have cut and peened the rocker pin to the liners, seen that a few times and it's done fairly common for a pinless look.El Lobo wrote:I'm going to just add here, that I'm uncomfortable that the knife doesn't have a pin at the backspring.
