Post by Mossdancer »

HI ALL:
DID SOME TRADING TODAY, GOT A COUPLE OF CASE XX (1940/1964)
A 1995 OR 4 BUCK 301\. AND THIS, IT WAS MADE IN J LAND FOR UNITED CUTCO. THE PICS ARE NOT VERY GOOD , THE LIGHT IS BAD
AND LENS SPEED TOO SLOW. 5" LONG CLOSED, BOTH BLADES ABOUT 11/2" A SHEEPS FOOT IS MAIN OR AT LEAST IT IS MARKED A SECONDARY SPEAR. BOTH ARE HOLLOW GROUND, THE BOLSTERS ARE NICKEL SILVER, ENGRAVED ON EACH END.MIDDLE IS PLAIN. THE SCALES ARE GENUINE STAG!! PER THE BOX. ANYONE HAVE IDEA AS YEAR OF MANUFACTURE OR APPROX COST WHEN NEW. DID UNITED EVER PUT ANY GOOD KNIVES. THIS MY FIRST UC LOOKS GOOD BUT
SOMETIMES LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. ANY AND ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

That is a fine looking piece. You have good reason to post those photos. Thank you, I really enjoy it.

HI PA:
BEEN AWHILE, THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE. HAVE YOU SEEN SUCH A KNIFE BEFORE, IS IT A REMAKE OF AN OLD PATTERN OR SOMETHING DRAWN UP BY AN ENGINEER OR CUTLER. WHAT DO YOU THINK. IT DOESN'T PRESENT NOR HAVE THE FEEL OF A CHEAPO.
THANKS AGAIN
