Case "Limited Edition Collectors Knives"

Another dumb question from a newbie, Why is it that the Case Limited Ediition Collector series knives don't seem to garner a lot of attention? Is it simply because they were produced as collectibles? You know the ones I am talking about right? Something like this one...
