Well, I found the site the other day looking for info on the Camillus 4 line Scout Knife I found in my garage. Right off the bat, I want to make it clear, I do not collect knives! They tend to follow me home. Case in point, yesterday I was helping a friend clean his garage and he was going to throw away this kind of cool looking knife that had "US" stamped in the metal scales. Some how he missed the steel scrap bin, and it landed in my pocket. It's a Camillus 1969. I wasn't looking for a knife, it just found me. I saw TripleF likes to hang out around the fire pit, so do I. You all have welcomed me to the site, so, I'll welcome you to sit around my fire pit any time. One thing I do collect is big chainsaws, and I have a portable saw mill. I milled 3" thick Oak slabs for my pit benches. They'll hold a lot of BS, come on over and try them out, Joe.

Your user name, rarefish383, is thought provoking. Does it have anything to do with a Chrysler product? Barracuda w/383 engine?
You need to share your secret as to how to get knives to follow you home.
Seein' how you mentioned collecting chainsaws, my son is an engineer at a steel fabrication company and he was in a discussion about chains saws with some of his office people. He said none of them had ever seen or heard of a bow saw. He had to Google it to show them what he was talking about.
We'll be glad to sit around the cyber fire pit with you, on the 3'' thick oak benches and chew the fat!

Never owned a Bow, they used them more in pulp wood. I just sold an old Homelite 7-29 to a fellow in Australia. It's 129cc's with a 52 inch bar. The internet can be a great thing. He saw a picture I posted, from the farm auction where I bought it, for $60. He offered me $800 plus shipping. $1274, I figured he made me an honest, no low ball offer, so now it lives down under.

I put the story of my user name in the user name thread. But, yes you are correct. Chrysler started putting 383's in the A Body Darts and Barracudas in 67. Then mid year 69 they put 440's in them. But, 68 was a one year only option for big blocks in convertibles, and that's what mine is. 68 Barracuda Formula S, 383, 4 speed Convertible. They built 64 of them, 24 automatics, and 40, 4 speeds. So, it is a Rarefish383.

I'm kind of cursed with things following me home. I just retired from 30 years with UPS. When I was in delivery a lady on my route gave me a rust free 73 Cutlass Supreme, 350 4 barrel, buckets. A week later a guy gave me a 79 Dart gt for $150. Then another lady gave me a super nice 85 Dodge Ramcharger. If my wife could have figured how to lay the back seat down, I'd still be sleeping in it.

Now she doesn't care how many guns I have, they all fit in one room, and knives don't even show up on the radar, Joe.

We not only have knife collecting as a shared hobby but I owned a 73 Cutlass Supreme , 350, Chamois Gold, opera windows, etc.
My first purchased car. Loved that car. Wish I still had it.

Would go good with my Case Yellow Delrin Mini-Trapper.

Welcome to AAPK. My second car was a '64 Barracuda. It would run like a scalded dog but the upkeep was more than I could bear. I hope your experience was more positive. Anyhow, glad you have joined us.
