Case #8201 Small Senator pen knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case #8201 Small Senator pen knife

Post by Case N.Point »

Got this last week and I've carried it ever since. I thought it may be to small but it feels bigger than it is. There's a joke in there somewhere. I like it better than 33's and the M.O P. Is very nice. It's from 1979. I think that was when it was first available. I wish they made one with stag and nickel silver liners and pins. Beautiful knife that is reminiscent of a 71 but smaller. I have been on a cigar shape pen knife kick and the M.O.P. Is very nice. I like the 63 Eisenhower pattern the best but this will do because of the 71-ish type look. This is probably the only Case I will ever own past 1960's. This knife has very strong pull and snappy close. I wish they made it as thin as my XX era Eisenhowers but that wasn't going to happen. I wouldn't go near 70's or newer Eisenhowers. They have gotten thicker and less elegant from the 70's. I can't seem to find or even see a old XX era M.O.P. Eisenhower and I may have to settle with what I have. 71's and 79 M.O.P. Are nice but can't come across one of those either.
