John Ives two blade stag knife

Post by GerryD »

This is another hard to find anything about knife. I bought it recently in a job lot and as you see it’s a twin bladed stag scale pocket knife that’s seen some life. Both blades are marked John Ives Sheffield. It has separate bolsters and is about 8” open with blades of 3.5” and 2.5”.
I did read another thread on BB where OwdTom had contacted GT but had drawn a blank. I’m rather hoping some more information may have come to light since then but wasn’t posted.

Beautiful old knife! Bet it has some stories to tell. I have Geo. Wostenholm that is near identical to it that I used to carry all the time.I haven't heard the name before but it looks to be circa 1900 or a bit earlier. Here is my I*XL.
