Remington Leg Knife???

Remington Leg Knife???

Have a leg knife with Remington UMC in circle. Handles are red and white stripes with blue area at top with star in this area. No pattern #. Has been in my possession between 20 and 25 years. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
