Case 92 pattern

I was cleaning my knives and I noticed the difference of the blades on this 92.
Would this be an example of the newer style
Clip blade? Note the nail notch and how much slimmer the blade is at the bottom ?

Possibly. Not sure but not to my limited knowledge. May have been uses and reprofiled due to blade loss. Compare to these if you like.

Here is a better comparison! Note the Tang stamp placement and the nail notch also!
The one on the left is the one in question!

When knives are cleaned(buffed) they can lose blade depth and length.

I understand. Thanks for clarifying. I agree with you to an extent it depends on the medium used to do the buffing. Of course you're going to lose metal just like when you sharpen a knife. The question is how much?
The last picture does show interesting difference in the nail nicks for sure. Could possibly be Cutler related for all I know.
Always some of mine out side by side from different years and snap a few pics when I get a chance.
