Knife Sharpener Hunt

Post by olderdogs1 »

My brother has been looking for a knife sharpener called Kwik Sharp but is having trouble locating one. ::tired:: Does anybody out there know where one could be found?

Thanks Ken,
I asked him and he said the one he is looking for has 2 gray ceramic sticks. He has used up the one he has, you know, somebody that actually uses a knife for the purpose intended 8) . He said they were made in Oklahoma. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats it Ken, He is looking for a new one though and says the gray sticks are better than the white. I don't know where a person would find one if they don't still make them. Somebody might have one in a box somewhere I guess. ::shrug:: Thanks for your help.

FWIW,

I haven't seen the gray sticks in a long time, myself. If I should run across some, I'll buy an extra set tho'.

I'm going over to A.G.'s on the 20th of this month - I'll ask about 'em.

Take Care,
JR

Jantz Supply has some 4 inch round Arkansas files that might work, page 96 in the catalog, they may have those online also.

Texas Knifemakers supply sells a Lansky Crocstick that has 5 inch alumina ceramic rods. Different maker though, so color may be meaningless.

The Arkansas Stones from Jantz sound interesting. ::shrug::
