NEED HELP WITH A CASE KNIFE

Post by pagoda »

I have a Case knife that I need some help with.
I do know it is 3-1/2", and from the stamp that it was made between 1920 and 1940s.
I think it is a jack or a cigar? If anyone can tell me what model/type and value I would appreciate the help.

Thank you

hi,

that knife was made between 1920-40 and is pattern 92055 LP, with the long pull and immitation pearl handles. as far as the value, i dont know what it would bring on the market, but jim parkers pocket knife traders price guide has it listed for 425.00 in mint condition.

anyway, i hope this helps.

I have seen these knives called "pen" knives, but there are other patterns called "pen" too. Like the 9233 (33 pattern)

I notice this one has whats called a "long pull" What years were the long pulls stopped? I have a Peanut with "Case Tested" and "long pull" that I am trying to sort info out on.

i have seen these knives called pen knives too, but they are listed as what is called the cigar pattern. the main reason i knew that was because i have been wanting to get one to add to my collection....lol. bid on a few at ebay, but no luck so far. anyway, hope it helps.

Click here and see my pitiful little specimen. It has a tang stamp of 05263 on it so may be slightly helpful

Steve hit the nail on the head...it is a 92055 and it's called an Equal End Jack. To the best of my knowledge, they never made this pattern in real Pearl.
