High Carbon Steel tang?

All over USA,steel liners and bolsters,bone.I was told Camillus made for Sears.I would like to know the age and what Camillus model she might be.thanks Bob

I'd definitely think pre to early WWII. It looks like a good one!

Or, immediately after WW II. Camillus had been making these bone handled 4 blade Utility pattern for the military during WW II. At war's end they still had lots of partly assembled knives and knife parts, so these were made into knives and sold on the civilian market.

If anyone has a Sears catalog from 1946 or '47 it will show the 4 blade Utility knife and one could see if it matches the op knife.

I have several knives with the High Carbon Steel tang stamp. They had a blade etch;usually with the model number and type on the master blade which usually went away in a hurry. I believe those were made by Camillus but not sure of the exact time frame.

Etch is Sta-Sharp, top of the line Sears knives, made by Camillus from about 1930 to late 1940s.
The last picture shows a Sears stockman made by Schrade and not given the Sta-Sharp etch which was reserved for the Camillus made knives.

Nice ones Joe! The only one I have that you can still read the etch on is a 4 blade stockman #9509. Not in the greatest of shape but kind of a rare item.
