RalphAlsip met Paladin

Post by RalphAlsip »

I made the hour drive into Austin today to meet Paladin and look at some of his fabulous knives. We decided to meet at a Barnes & Noble bookstore thinking it wouldn't be crowded because nobody buys books anymore. Maybe nobody was buying books, but it was crowded and every table and chair was occupied. After we found a suitable place to talk knives, I said "Ray, where are your knives?" and then he opened up his trench coat like a Russian spy to show them (just kidding :) ).

I brought home a beautiful Schrade and a wish list for a few more.

Here is a selfie of RalphAlsip on the left and Paladin on the right. There were some college girls there. We asked them how to caption our picture. "The Texas Playboys" was their unanimous recommendation.

Ray always has some great knives when he sets up at the Oregon show, and it is always good to visit with Ray!

I hope everyone realizes there were no college girls anywhere near the shady looking parking lot cash transaction that Ray and I complete:). Not sure what Ray did afterwards... but my wife and I went to an early bird supper and then home where I fell asleep on the couch watching the AZ / GB football game.

I'm in Indianapolis trying to stay warm and didn't have chance to take pictures of my new knife before leaving sunny Texas. Peanut, here is a link to a post with Paladin's picture. It is my 2nd Scrade and 1st farmer jack.

It was good to meet him and we enjoyed our visit. ::tu::
